The suspect attempted to leave the store without paying, appearing to try and avoid detection of theft. While in custody, the suspect was uncooperative and difficult during transfer, necessitating a full cavity search to look for additional, undeclared items. Extra steps were taken to ensure the safe retrieval of merchandise, including the presence of a second Loss Prevention Officer.
